lighting

The scope of lighting within Disele Green Energy (Pty) Ltd encompasses: commercial, residential, public (street lighting: high masts and Apollo’s), and traffic lighting. Inefficient lights are replaced with more efficient and new technology lighting.

Demand Management

Demand Management

demand-management

This is a load management function wherein the supply of electricity is balanced on the network with the electrical load by adjusting or controlling the load rather than the power station output. Disele Green Energy (Pty) Ltd employs methods including but not limited to; ripple control relays, peak clipping and load shifting.

Pump Systems

Pump Systems

pumps

Pumping and pumping systems are central to our daily living. From water, to fuel pumped from coastal areas to the inland regions and sewer systems etc. This has resulted in the efficiency of pumping systems having to be considered as one of the priority areas in the energy efficiency drive. We employ several methods for load re-distribution in this regard.

Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC)

Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC)

hvacInternal heating and cooling, and sometimes refrigeration; are some of the major consumers of electricity. One common contributing factor; especially in old office buildings is that very obsolete technology is still in use. The upgrade and / or refurbishment of HVAC plants in offices, buildings / campuses, factories and other commercial buildings aids the reduction of energy consumption in this regard.

Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

renewable-energySouth Africa has abundant renewable energy resources that can be tapped into for clean energy and increase security of supply with one of best solar regimes in the world. Of all the renewable energy resources it is by far the most abundantly available in the country.

Stimulating significant growth in the renewable energy sector will not only results in job creation but also establish a manufacturing industry that will create even more jobs

The need for renewable energy is driven by:

      • Environmental issues, such as pollution and exploitation of natural resources;
      • Climate Change due to CO2 emissions from fossil fuels;
      • Energy security through diversification of supply; and
      • Sustainable development.

The following sources of renewable energy are constantly tapped into to supplement already available energy that we’re trying to save.

      • Solar Farm;
      • Wind Farm;
      • Hydro;
      • Biomass; and
      • Household, Commercial and Industrial Waste
Smart Metering

Smart Metering

metering

          • Electricity metering: metering shows and keeps records of consumption trends, makes for appropriate corrective action, and the employment of efficient interventions.
          • Water metering: "Water efficiency" means using improved technologies and practices that deliver equal or better service with less water. For example, leak detection programs can reduce the amount of water, pressure, and energy required to deliver the same amount of water to consumers' taps.
